Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts - Ballad of a Misspent Youth

Former Biters frontman Tuk Smith, who was born in Atlanta and now calls Nashville home, created and fronts the American rock group The Restless Hearts. On January 10, 2020, the group released their first single, "What Kinda Love," and on the same day, they were announced as the opening act for The Stadium Tour, which featured Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe.

This is their new single, called Ballad of a Misspent Youth which is also the title track of the new album. Tuk said: “I decided to make a rock and roll record for me and what I like because there was no label, there was no committee involved…just me and my stories. I wanted to create a setting and an authentic feeling about everything. I reunited with long time friend Dan Dixon and recorded these songs in his garage studio, and there is a purity to the work that came from all the circumstances of that time.”

What I like about Ballad of a Misspent Youth is the pure rock n' roll mood, the amazing production and the great performance by Tuk. The chorus is very catchy and the guitars are very inspired, with some Rolling stones vibes, including the brilliant and extended solo in the second part of the song.
