Scalise - Airbag

A progressive folk-rock group from the south metro Twin Cities called Scalise features two lead singers and a horn section. In 2013, when the members were still in middle school, the group started as a duo. With the addition of four new musicians, they have contrasted their initial minimalist sound and produced a dense acoustic environment. Currently, Scalise is promoting the release of the first two singles from their upcoming sophomore album.

This is their new single, called "Airbag". The song starts with a nice arpeggio, a pacy rhythm section and vocals that become come and more intense (great performance!).

I really like the mood of the song and the arrangement is spot on, with intense and inspired bass lines and a piano always present. "Airbag" is enjoyable from start to finish, it's got a great sound and it's also amazingly performed by the band. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and don't forget to follow Scalise on social media as well.
