Sun Traitors - Fan The Flames

Sun Traitors have been a mainstay in Melbourne's live music scene since their debut release in 2018, whether it's on the stage or supporting the local rock community. Jim Charlemagne on lead vocals and guitars, with Iggy Torres on drums and supporting vocals, is the band's creative engine, blending elements of grunge, metal, psych, and prog. Many people have compared the band's sound to that of a cross between Foo Fighters, Clutch, AC/DC, and Muse. Sun Traitors project a modern image of alternative/hard rock through their energetic live presentations and in their own words while borrowing inspiration from the past.

Fan The Flames is the name of their new single. I like many things about the song: the main guitar riff, pure rock and absolutely contagious, the general sound, the vocal performance, very punchy but with a good melody as well, and last but not least, the solid and dynamic rhythm section (superb during the chorus and during the solo section). Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and don't forget to follow Sun Traitors on social media as well.
