Raising Ravens - Vexed

Sydney's Raising Ravens is a hard-hitting rock band that tackles matters that are sometimes brushed aside or ignored. It talks on issues such as the impact of power abuses on those who are susceptible to them both globally and locally.

Raising Ravens, a brand-new musical endeavour for Australian musician Jess Finlayson, was conceptualised in 2020 and launched with the single release "Careful What You Wish For." The third single, "It's A Trap," released by Raising Ravens in April 2021, peaked at number one on the AMRAP Metro Charts, spent four weeks straight in the Top 10, and was added to playlists in the USA, UK, Canada, Egypt, and Brazil, among other countries.

This is their new single, called Vexed. The song starts with a tasty, contagious and pure grunge riff followed by clean but intense vocals. I really like the mood and the pace of the song (great rhythm section as well), also the very straightforward sound. The song is very enjoyable from start to finish and personally it brings me back to the 90s (always a good feeling, isn't it?).
