Sylarin - Delirium

The band Sylarin is from Kansas City, Missouri. Its musical style blends aspects of traditional heavy metal music with contemporary scene punch and advanced aesthetics.

Members of the group are accustomed to working together because they were previously a part of the band Parvenu. With her passionate vocal performance, lead singer Rachel McMillan set out to fire the band's sound while yet giving the songs enough grit and fuel. Thorin Pierce's deft guitar playing blends seamlessly with her feisty and uncompromising vocal style. The seven-string musician can play anything, including riffs big enough to fill an entire stadium, scorching solos, and subtle ambient soundscapes. Alec Stockman completes the lineup by taking a seat behind the drum set. He acts as the group's strong foundation, sustaining the fervour and intensity of Sylarin's vision.

This is their new single, called Delirium. The song starts with a heavy, tasty and technical riff and with powerful and frantic drumming. The vocals get in and they are catchy but very energetic at the same time. The song is amazingly performed, with a great sound. The thing I like the most about it is the compromise between the (impressive) technical abilities of the band and the melodic aspect in the service of the song.

Overall Delirium is a great song, with a great performance by the band, give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and don't forget to follow Sylarin on social media as well.
