The Dead Daisies - Born To Fly

The Dead Daisies have already published five studio albums, one live album, and one covers album to a growing army of fans across the world, and they've been acclaimed by the international press in an era when rock has been proclaimed dead numerous times.

John Corabi, Marco Mendoza, Richard Fortus, Dizzy Reed, Frank Ferrer, Darryl Jones, Tommy Clufetos, Charley Drayton, and Jon Stevens are just a few of the players who make up the band's DNA. Kiss, Guns N' Roses, Scorpions, Aerosmith, Bad Company, Whitesnake, ZZ Top, and the Hollywood Vampires are just a few of the artists they've shared the stage with.

Glenn Hughes, known as "The Voice Of Rock," joined The Dead Daisies in 2019 to usher in a new era for the band. Glenn joined guitarists Doug Aldrich, David Lowy, and drummer Deen Castronovo to make the album 'Holy Ground,' which was produced by Ben Grosse at La Fabrique Studios in the south of France and published on January 22nd 2021.

This is their new single, "Born To Fly" with a brand new video. "The inspiration for this track was David Lowy’s love of flying". “Doug & I got together in New York earlier in the year and worked on a riff that I had written previously. Doug had a chorus that just fitted, we messed around with the melody and came up with the name ‘Born To Fly’. This is a straight-up rock song. For me it’s literal, I was born to fly. However we’re all born to fly in our own way.”

The quality is exactly what you expect from these top players and if you already know The Dead Daisies. Great vocals by Glenn Hughes, robust and inspired guitars, a very catchy chorus and a top-notch production. Give it a go by clicking on the YouTube video below and enjoy the song!
