Chip & The Charge Ups formed In the spring of 2018, by the father-daughter team of Chip & Maleena Dominick, created an electrifying buzz by performing their first shows at some of the East Coast’s fastest-growing music festivals.
The band wowed crowds with their energising live performances and catchy songs while cultivating a modern power pop sound with roots in early punk. In September 2018, the group released "Flow of the Current, Part I (+)," their debut album.
This is their new single, called Paying Back the Devil. I like many things about this song: the pace, the energy, the riffing and the vocal lines, very catchy (check out the chorus!) but robust at the same time. The song is overall very well performed and produced and very enjoyable from start to finish.
