Phry McDunstan - Hunt For Treasure

German guitarist, songwriter, and producer Phry McDunstan is from Cologne. When he first picked up the guitar at the age of 18, he was already certain that playing music and pursuing a career as a musician was what he intended to do for the rest of his life. After a few years of practicing for six to eight hours a day, he packed his belongings, moved to Cologne and started his first music projects which eventually evolved into the band Cunning Mantrap.

The band disbanded in 2017 after independently releasing an EP and an album, all of which were produced by McDunstan. Phry released his debut solo EP, "Coming Up For Air," in November 2021. It contained six songs, half of which were instrumentals and the other half of which featured lead vocal performances by exceptionally gifted singers from all around the world. On November 25, 2022, exactly one year later, Phry will release his second EP, "Time And Time Again," which once again includes six brand-new songs in a variety of musical genres, including Rock, Blues, and Metal.

This is his new single, in collaboration with Jeff Bragg called Hunt For Treasure. The song starts with a tasty and vigorous drum fill followed by an inspired and pure rock guitar riff. The vocals are old-style, melodic but very energetic, with a very catchy chorus. The song "is a motivational rock song for people who are going through tough times", says the artist.

Hunt For Treasure is amazingly performed (check out the guitar solos and the very inspired finale, very 70s) and it's enjoyable from start to finish. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and don't forget to follow Phry McDunstan on social media as well.
