Twisted Mind - Burning Grounds

Twisted Mind is an oriental rock/metal group founded in 2017 by Dan Saliman, an Israeli musician. The band is comprised of Lahav Zityat – Guitar +Oud, Or Levy – Bass Guitar, David Darash – Drums, Yanir Chmiel – Lead Vocals,  Dan Saliman – Guitar + Bouzouki.

The band members contributed to the sound's development by bringing their individual styles, influences, and cultural backgrounds to Twisted Mind. As a result, a potent musical fusion combining the aggression and force of heavy metal with the liberating energy of contemporary rock & roll was produced. And throughout it all, they used Middle Eastern ethnic music, which originated in their native country, the band members' ancestry, and their own personal family 'DNA'.

Twisted Mind's music is going to establish a new musical vernacular in the contemporary rock and metal scene, beginning in San'aa, Yemen, moving via Istanbul, Turkey, through the Libyan desert, and ending up in a garage in Los Angeles. From Slave to Prophet was the name of the band's debut EP, which was published in December 2022.

This is their new single, called Burning Grounds. The song starts with a great riff and a pure hard rock attitude. The sound is perfect for the genre and the performance of the band is spot-on. I really like the vocals, very energetic and technical but catchy at the same time, and the rhythm section is very solid.
