Eric Allen, a singer/songwriter and guitarist from Indiana in the US Midwest who has spent more than ten years performing and living in New York City, is renowned for his genuine and soulful Americana, blues, country, and outlaw sound.
On February 2, 2023, Eric will release his second album, Prowlin' Lobo Blues. The New album examines life on the road and on the railroads in the middle of the 19th century, during the Great Depression, and in the present using primarily acoustic instruments. In January 2021, Eric Allen's self-titled debut album was made available. In Eric's down-to-earth manner, its blues/outlaw country tunes tell tales of the road, hope, and longing.
The first one is called Prowlin' Lobo. The artist wrote about the song: "Prowlin' Lobo is a tale about a North American Gray Wolf (Lobo). It's characterized by fast paces banjo strings and a prancing flare, much like a Lobo's prance around its prey." I really like the pace the mood of this one and the vocals remind me of Tom Waits. Give it a go, this is a great song, absolutely contagious.
The second one is called Workin' on the Blues and it's a high-energy blues mixed with bluegrass, with great guitar solos and a great arrangement with the usual intense and very well performed vocals by Eric.
