Singer-songwriter Jacob Armitage was raised outside of Midland, Texas. He spent his teenage summers working in the oil industry, or "the oil patch," as he refers to it, when he wasn't in high school or participating in sports. Jacob grew up performing and writing music, being influenced by artists like Pat Green, Charlie Robison, Robert Earl Keen, and Randy Rogers. But he didn't start singing his songs live until he moved to Lubbock, Texas, after graduating from high school. Currently residing close to Fort Worth, Texas, Jacob Armitage tours the southern states with his band.
