Song of the day: VIQUEEN - Smoke and Mirrors

All-female powerhouse VIQUEEN (pronounced VY-kween, like the word "viking") is known for its powerful sound and deep melodies. Despite having headquarters in San Francisco and Portland, Maine, they have roots all over the world. As a result of the diversity of backgrounds, a distinctive sound has been created that combines elements of East Coast Metal, Americana, and the Riotgrrl movement. In addition to many other cities across the country, they have performed in San Francisco, Austin, San Jose, Chicago, Reno, Denver, LA, and San Diego.

This is their new single, called Smoke and Mirrors. I love the energy of the song, very straightforward and with a no frills attitude. The rhythm section is full-on, the guitars are heavy and the vocals are extremely punchy.
