Chris Forrest & The Big Mercy - The Late Seventies

Chris Forrest is a Canadian indie singer-songwriter inspired by authentic storytelling across alt-country, Americana, blues, and roots.

This is his new single, with the band The big Mercy and it's called "The Late Seventies". The song was written on Willie Nelson's 89th birthday as an ode to GenX's childhood.

What I like about it is the contagious mood, and the amazingly simple arrangement giving the song the right atmosphere. It's also very well sung and performed, with different contaminations. If you like the genre, give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and don't forget to follow Chris Forrest as well.
