Interview - EUTHYMIA

1) Bio
Founded in 2022, we, as Euthymia, want to represent with our music, in relationship with the
intimacy and with the world around them, the perpetual and dynamic connection with an innerand
outer universe that changes incessantly with the human being, tending to the unity of essence and
knowledge.

2) Line up:
The band members are Vito Tambasco (singer), Edoardo Di Vietri (leadguitar), Valentin Bernard
(bass), Michael Veneri (lead guitar), Matteo De Marco (synths and guitar) and Pier Francesco Vairo
(drums).

3) Discography:
Currently, you can find our first two EPs on all music platforms: Chrusσs EP, an EP recorded in the
rehearsal room and Θeos EP, which contains two songs that will be part of our first album out by the
end of 2023.

4) What are your influences?
We all have different musical backgrounds, but bands like Tool, Porcupine Tree, or the grunge scene
of the 90’s are common ground for all of us. Aside from music, we are also inspired by movies,
psychology or esoterism.

5) What do you write about?
Our songs are based on esoteric lyrics, Jungian psychology, psychoanalysis, and astronomy, and is
expressed mostly using sounds, aesthetics and structures related to metal and progressive rock.

6) Your favourite live performance so far?
Surely our best performance remains the concert that we had at Rock Castle 2022 in the Czech
Republic where we still played with our former name Men in the box.

7) Tell us a funny story that happened in studio or on stage:
A funny story? um... in our last concert our guitarist Michael was asked to end the song with a teeth
solo (don’t ask me how he does it) but everyone else understood to end the song.
It all ended with our soloist licking the strings to the general embarrassment of an amused audience!

8) Your favourite records?
We all agree that Eunoya is by far the song we like to play the most given the very heavy dynamics,
but above all because it is the song that represents us best.

9) A musician you would like to meet for a beer?
We would love to share a beer with Maynard from Tool: I think he has many stories to tell, that
madman!

10) What will you ask backstage if you were the most important band on earth:
Is it possible to ask a dozen beautiful girls ?! no ?! well, then a 69' fender strat, a couple bottles of
Saint Emilion, a barbecue with some good meat would do the trick...!

Giovanni Gagliano

Passionate about music I wrote my first article for "Given To Rock" in 2012, reaching now 30K global followers. I am also a musician, gigging around London.
