San Diego-based Proteus is an independent alternative metal band that was founded in 2019. Drummer Cody Adams, bassist Sean Curry, and guitarist/vocalist Sam Friedman make up the band.
This is their new single, called
Crumble. The band wrote about it: "Creating this song, we wanted to retain the emotional and gritty nature of the guitar, bass, and vocal part, but balance those with a chorus hook and drum beat that makes you move and sticks in your head." What do I like about the song? The tasty and vigorous guitar riffs, the very dynamic rhythm section and the energetic but melodic vocals.
