Song of the day: Sun Traitors - The Maze

Sun Traitors have been a mainstay in Melbourne's live music scene since their debut release in 2018, whether it's on the stage or supporting the local rock community. Jim Charlemagne on lead vocals and guitars, with Iggy Torres on drums and supporting vocals, is the band's creative engine, blending elements of grunge, metal, psych, and prog.

Many people have compared the band's sound to that of a cross between Foo Fighters, Clutch, AC/DC, and Muse. Sun Traitors project a modern image of alternative/hard rock through their energetic live presentations and in their own words while borrowing inspiration from the past.

This is their new single, called The Maze. The song starts with a relaxed arpeggio exploding in a very vibrant and pure hard hard rock riff (I love it!). The vocals are very catchy, both during the verses and the chorus and the rhythm section is very solid. The song is very enjoyable from start to finish and it's got a contagious mood.
