Song of the day: Angela Petrilli - The Voices

The Voices is the new Angela Petrilli EP’s title track. “With this EP, I really wanted to write from perspectives that weren't necessarily my own,” Petrilli says. “Things I've observed with friends or watched on the news. ‘The Voices’ comes from having that conflicting internal conversation with the optimistic side of the ego versus the side that's always worried the world is ending, that everything is bad. We all have that conversation with the little demon and angel on each shoulder.”

The Voices is a quality song with a great performance by Angela (I love the lyrics and the guitars) and it also features a great production and arrangement. I like the contrast between the verses and the explosive blues chorus, very energetic. Spot on for the dynamic call-and-response between Lomeo's blues harp and Petrilli's guitar lines. The song is very enjoyable from start to finish and with lots tasty of "ups and downs".
