Song of the day: Astro-Lloyd Gnorts, Mr. Alien

The love of music is at the heart of Astro-Lloyd, utilising a variety of genres as inspiration, developing their own sound, and giving passionate live performances in an effort to constantly broaden their musical horizon. Their greatest influences include the arena choruses of Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro's desire to experiment, and the vigour of bands like The Hives and Royal Republic.

They established themselves in the alternative rock and DIY scenes after being founded in 2011. Astro-Lloyd, who is active in the DIY scene, has released two records on their own: the EP "Planet Unknown" in 2014 and the debut full-length album "Astro Life" in 2017.

This is their new single, called "Gnorts, Mr. Alien". The song starts with a punky guitar riff, very straightforward and energetic, the rhythm section is solid and the vocals are absolutely catchy (chorus!). The song is very enjoyable from start to finish and amazingly performed by the band (check out the instrumental break/solo, in the second part of the song).
