Song of the day: THE PALFREYMAN COLLECTIVE - Slowburner

The songwriter David Palfreyman,  has assembled a group of musicians and singers known as The Palfreyman Collective.

Musicians include Martin Barker (Shriekback/Marianne Faithful, Tim Robins), Matt Hector (Iggy Pop) on drums, Ben Miles (Film & TV actor) and Dan Mckinna (Tindersticks) on Bass, David Clayton (Simply Red/David Bowie/George Michael) on keyboards, Greg Hart (Cats in Space) Rodger Hanna (Decades) on guitars. Vocalists include Paul Manzi (The Sweet/Arena), Jesse Smith (The Classic Rock Show/ Gutterdammerung), Damien Edwards (Cats In Space), Californian gut wrenching singer Allegra Shock and Sarah Jane Morris (The Communards).

Steve "KRUSHER" Joule, who has created album covers for Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, Hawkwind, Japan, and Black Sabbath, created the album cover.

This is their new single, called Slowburner. I really like the mood, the pace and the atmosphere of the song. The production is very energetic and the performance by the band is absolutely spot on. I love the vocals by Paul Manzi, very old-style Hard rock, the solid but creative rhythm section and the inspired guitars (what a sound!). This is a great song, enjoyable from start to finish. Give it a go by clicking on the Youtube player below and don't forget to follow The Palfreyman Collective on social media as well.
