Song of the day: Sylarin - Sirens

The band Sylarin is from Kansas City, Missouri. Its musical style blends elements of traditional heavy metal music with contemporary scene punch and progressive aesthetics. Members of the group are accustomed to working together because they were previously a part of Parvenu. With her soulful vocal performance, lead singer Rachel McMillan set out to ignite the band's sound while still giving the songs enough grit and fuel. Thorin Pierce's deft guitar playing blends seamlessly with her feisty and unapologetic singing style. The seven-string player can play anything, including riffs big enough to fill an entire stadium, scorching solos, and subtle ambient soundscapes. Alec Stockman completes the lineup by taking a seat behind the drum set. He acts as the group's strong foundation, sustaining the fervour and intensity of Sylarin's vision.

This is their new single, called Sirens. The riffs are heavy and inspired, the rhythm section is very solid, the production is perfect for the genre and the vocals are absolutely spot on. I love this singing approach, reminding me of one of my favourite singers, Lzzy Hale from Halestorm. This is a very cool song, well produced and amazingly performed by the band.
