Song of the day: Wolfnaut - My Orbit Is Mine

WOLFNAUT (formerly known as Wolfgang) was forged in the sounds of early hard rock and metal as well as the desert and stoner rock scene that erupted in the mid-1990s. He has made it his mission to explore the musical landscapes between melodic and hooky twin-guitar based songs and sludgy and doomy stoner rock.

"Welcome to the Cactus Mountains," the debut album by the Norwegian band WOLFNAUT, was released in 1998. The band is from the dense forests of Elverum. After a tour, the group took an indefinite break before coming back together in 2013. "Castle in the Woods," WOLFNAUT's second full-length album, was released in 2016. Since then, the band has performed for headbanging crowds in places like Duisburg and Trondheim.

This is their new single, called My Orbit Is Mine. The song starts with a huge guitar riff (what a sound!) followed but melodic but punchy vocals, especially during the chorus. I really like the production, the song sounds heavy but it is very melodic as well, check out the solo break in the middle of the song, very inspired and amazingly performed. This is a very cool song. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and don't forget to follow WOLFNAUT on social media as well.
