Song of the day: AXiS - Firewater

The Romanian-Serbian trio AXiS is described as being raw, strong, and bold. Although they have their beginnings in the little Serbian village of Kladovo on the Danube, their souls are found on the American soil where the Blues was first born. Although the inspirations are clear, AXiS provides the blues a fresh viewpoint — like a wolf in sheep's clothes — giving the group a distinctive edge on the local music scene at the moment. Around the fall of 2016, the band entered a bohemian studio on the outskirts of Belgrade to make their debut album. The band's debut album is intended to capture the primal, searing, and direct sound that emerges when the band members put their imaginations together since it was recorded live with just minor editing.

This is their new single, called Firewater. I love the drumming at the beginning of the song and the 70s taste after the riff comes. I also love the groove and the dynamics of the rhythm section and the vocals are a perfect fit, with a robust and energetic chorus. The song is very well written and performed (guitar solos are absolutely spot on!) and with a great sound as well.
