Song of the day: Revengine - Right

Early 2007 saw the launch of Revengine. This Alice In Chains, Therapy?, and Faith No More–inspired Alternative Rock–Heavy Grunge band is from Lapua, Finland, and they have earned a lot of praise for their albums. Revengine stands out because of their ability to appeal to grunge-rock and metal listeners because of their variety of sounds, including guitar and vocalist Antti Jokiranta, bassist Juha Järvelä, drummer Jouni Yli-Rantala, and guitarist Mirko Honkanen.

This is their new single, called Right. The intro is epic and goes to a strange and moody bass, with a sinister arpeggio following immediately. I like the contrast between the verses and the choruses; the song is unpredictable and the band's performance is spot on (I love the Alice in Chains vibes). Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and don't forget to follow Revengine on social media as well.
