Song of the day: WCS - Did You Miss Me

WCS was created in 2019 by guitarist Paul J Doron and Matthew Tyler Di Leo (Vocals). Their name comes from a discussion Matt had on finding band members.

Michael Baranov on bass and Mario Cabral on drums quickly joined the group. WCS transformed from cynical punks to alt-rock rebels with the addition of their new members. WCS stands apart from other bands thanks to their intense live performances and diverse song library. The band mix elements of Britpop, Indie Rock, J-Rock, Alternative Rock, and Indie.

This is their new single, called Did You Miss Me. I love the initial riff (almost heavy metal but with an an "alternative rock" sound) and it's interesting how the band mix lots of elements. The vocals are clean and absolutely catchy and overall I love the pace and the mood of the song. It slows down in the middle to start again with some great drumming and a (short) guitar solo, all absolutely inspired. A great song, amazingly performed and produced. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and don't forget to follow the band on social media as well.
