Song of the day: DJ Williams - Black Man (feat. Kanika Moore & Roosevelt Collier)

Guitarist, singer, composer, and producer DJ Williams takes a unique approach to his own funk, rock, and soul sounds, inspired by Eddie Hazel and Curtis Mayfield. The Richmond, Virginia native, who also performs in San Diego's highly renowned Karl Denson's Tiny Universe and his own hot band, Shots Fired, shows no signs of slowing down, performing everything from small rock clubs to major famous festivals worldwide.

This is his new single, called Black Man (feat. Kanika Moore & Roosevelt Collier), starting with a pure rock guitar riff (I love all the guitars) and catchy vocals reminding me of  Lenny Kravitz. The production is absolutely perfect for the genre and the song is very enjoyable from start to finish. This is the debut release from DJ Williams' upcoming album "Soldier of Love," a powerful musical manifesto that explores the profound dichotomies of black male existence in America."
