Striking South released their first single in 13 years. Working with Sponge producer Tim Patalan, the song 'Spinning My Wheels' captures the essence of Motor City Rock and serves it with a side of Nashville. The first video ever produced with the band was uploaded to YouTube and shared with the world. The song is about earning a living on the road and getting home as fast as you can, when you can.
I love the powerful drumming and the oriental guitar riff at the beginning of the song. The chorus is absolutely catchy (great vocals!) and it brings me back straight to the atmosphere of my beloved 90s. The performance and the production are spot on and "Spinning My Wheels" is very enjoyable from start to finish.
