Luis Raúl Ramírez -Transmissions (2023)

If you like psychedelic, spacey moods and lots of different atmospheres this may be the EP for you: 'Transmissions,' by Luis Raul Ramirez. The skilled musician and producer traverses mysterious, transforming, and layered work with female vocalists, creating something unique and very interesting.

The EP consists of 5 songs (well, 10, but there are 2 versions of every song, English and Spanish) and it starts with the opener "Vibin' High", very chilled and enjoyable (great vocals!). "Wake up!" is a little more upbeat and with a very peculiar arrangement. "Separation pt. 1" changes completely the mood with an electric guitar (and inspired bass lines) leading the song. This is my favourite one, obviously, of the EP, thanks to its rock mood. "Separation pt. 2" is a little more ethereal and dreamy and obviously connected to the first part. The last track of the EP is "Onward Ho!", another vibrant track, more on the rock side, well written and performed, with great bass lines too.

This is a very unique and experimental release, very interesting. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and don't forget to follow Luis Raul Ramirez on social media as well.
