Song of the day: Human Dinosaur Machine - Ventilator

Human Dinosaur Machine is a four-piece blend of 90s-style grunge and punk with an Australian edge that will bury its hooks into you upon first listen; a vocally raw and personal truth alongside humour and pain, supported by intricate rhythms and gorgeous melodies that completely envelop you, as music should. The literary impetus for Human Dinosaur Machine has always been a brutalised and honest look at the joyful highs and shattering lows of mental health, with the music heavily reflecting this. The band is currently working on its debut LP album, Old Dog Studios, which is planned to be released in early 2024.

This is their new single, called Ventilator. I love the bass riffs, very groovy and the general mood of the song, upbeat, contagious and energetic (great drum lines too!). The chorus is super catchy and the vocal performance is fantastic. I also love how the song grows in intensity. Great tune, give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and remember to follow Human Dinosaur Machine on social media.
