Velveteen Queen - Take Me Higher/Barrel of a Gun

Velveteen Queen's music is sensual, bluesy, nasty '80s & 90's rock, melodic hard rock, borrowing inspiration from renowned bands such as Aerosmith and Guns N' Roses. Velveteen Queen released their debut single "TRAUMA" on Spotify and other digital services in March 2022, and with only four singles released, they have already accomplished quite a bit, such as playing at some of Sweden's biggest festivals, such as Sweden Rock Festival, Skogsröjet Festival, Kristianstad Rockfest, Malmöfestivalen, and toured through Sweden with Nestor and has been a member of Hardcore Superstar on several occasions.

This is their new single, called "Take Me Higher", opening with a tasty guitar riff and dynamic drumming. The song is very well written and brings me back to 80s Hard rock but with a more modern production. Great chorus, very catchy, and a very interesting melodic break in the middle followed by and explosive solo (Slash influence here!). A very cool song, give it a go.

"Barrel of a Gun" is another very cool track with inspired "alternative" vocals and a contagious mood. I love the riffing, and the rhythm section, very creative and precise. Another quality track with a strong chorus and a great performance by the band. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and remember to follow Velveteen Queen on social media.
