MATNEY - All Fired Up

The Southern-rock-inspired band MATNEY released their single "All Fired Up" on February 9th. It draws inspiration from southern rock's rich heritage, as well as the surroundings in which vocalist Michael Matney grew up. Matney's musical idols, as well as his farm life, faith, and previous demons, all had an effect on the track.

Stevie Salas produced, co-wrote the tune, and played lead guitar. The multi-platinum producer has gold records for performers such as Justin Timberlake and Mick Jagger, and he also executive produced the documentary "Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World," which earned the Special Jury Award for Masterful Storytelling at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.

The band gained critical acclaim for their work, with their most recent album characterised as "(possibly the last) entry in the Greatest Post-Punk Albums Nobody's Ever Heard" by LA Record, and something "every fan of post punk and proto-metal would have [topping] their want-list." By The ROCKPIT. Michael Matney has also performed in iconic clubs around the United States with his former bands, White Boy and The Average Ray Band.

"All Fired Up" is available across all platforms and will be released under Roulette Records. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and remember to follow MATNEY on Facebook and social media.
