Cartesian Ghost is a band formed in 2015 as a consequence of its members' broad musical tastes, with influences ranging from Katatonia, Tool, Pain of Salvation, and Opeth to more traditional metal styles such as Evergrey.
The band's early years were defined by instability in the lineup, which resulted in several changes. The original lineup still includes Kristofer Montenegro (vocals), Pedro Abraham (keyboards), and Emilio GarcÃa (drums). With the addition of Eduardo Samper (guitar) and, more recently, Carlos Navas (bass), the band has found the solidity it needs to continue ahead.
In 2023, the band's debut album, Lux Arcana, was published. This is their single, called Feeding on My Bones. I love the sound, the performance and all the ideas and different atmosphere the band put in these 7 minutes. If I have to choose one section, I would say the part at 4.35, reminding me of Iron Maiden and the keyboard solo straight after, very Dream Theater. What do you want more?
