Joshua Reilly - Every Reason I Run

Joshua Reilly is a songwriter whose work flawlessly blends folk, country, and blues. Reilly, originally from the Midwest, now lives in the Tampa Bay Area and continues to compose music, showcasing his honest delivery and unmistakable links to the spirit of his songs. 

This is his new single,  "Every Reason I Run" Joshua describes the song: " It was written after observing a close friend's relationship falling apart after that friend's partner was unfaithful. The partner tried to minimize the hurt it caused and attempted to talk them into keeping the relationship going, even though it was well beyond its expiration date. The song is a blend of old and new, both in sound and lyrics. The recording and melodies are from modern influences and recording styles, but influenced by artists like Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Simon & Garfunkel. The lyrics are full of creative imagery built on analogies original to the songwriter. We hear new ways of (better?) describing a familiar pain and confusion resulting from love lost, and the exasperated frustration of someone trying to get free of a toxic situation." This is the first release of Joshua Reilly's upcoming album. 

I really like the guitar track (what a fantastic sound) and the general atmosphere and mood of "Every Reason I Run" which features great vocals as well (I love the chorus, very catchy).
