Nimby, founded in 2009 by vocalist Tommaso La Vecchia and guitarist Aldo Ferrara, blends psychedelic, post-punk, and garage rock styles. They have released their new single, "Avatar", a lively and edgy post-punk music that examines the connection with social media with irony and sheer rock intensity.
The band describes the song: The single is part of the band's new composing season, as Tommaso's poetry shifts from meditative or introverted themes on their previous two albums." Also added: "a virtual shamanic ritual that tends to hypnotize our minds, reducing what we experience as if we were constantly in front of a magical mirror and spreading collective hatred and contempt towards ourselves."
