Song of the day: Local Chapter - Song for Nomad

"Local Chapter" was founded in 2015. Kirill Agafyin, the group's leader, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound engineer, is the only permanent member throughout the band's lineups. For the first three years of its existence, the band concentrated on improving their skill via practice and songwriting. Then, in 2018, they published their debut EP, "Drink and Rock'n'Roll". The group had a sabbatical around the end of 2022, but they are back in business since the autumn of 2023, with a new roster and renewed vitality.

"Song For Nomad" begins with a melodious acoustic guitar while the vocalist tells his trip experience. Strings swell as the tempo lowers on a massive prog rock hymn laced with Middle Eastern and Celtic musical themes and plenty of shredding. A wall of electric guitars, keys, and multi-part vocal harmonies support the soloist as he delivers a song on life, death, and beyond.

I find the song very original and quality from every point of view. and I totally recommend listening to it. You will find it also on my personal Best of 2024 playlist. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and remember to follow the band on social media.
