Nastyville - Interview

Nastyville was born in 2012 and they've released 2 albums which gave the band the opportunity to open to the Italian tours of Skid Row, Crashdiet, Enuff'z'Nuff, Adam Bomb, John Corabi, Simon Wright and many others. We are here with Mark, the singer.

- Hi and welcome to this interview. Tell us about your latest release.
Our latest release, Red, Black or Green? talks about the will to reach beyond your limits even when life kicks you in the ass. Definitely the best work of the band so far.

- How would you describe your sound?
Our sound now hits you like a wrecking ball! It s direct, fat and leaves you ’ breathless if you get hit by it!

- What do you write about?
Mainly about life and personal experiences. With the new upcoming record we distanced ourselves from the old sound and themes. We want the listener to easily relate to our songs.

- What do you listen to when you are home?
That's a tough one! I listen to relaxing music when I cook, hard rock under the shower and metal when I'm pissed, but my heart belongs to Hardcore Superstar, I can really listen to them anytime, anywhere

- Your favourite live performance so far?
100% when we had an opening act for Skid row in Padova. Loved to be there with my band brothers! - Tell us a funny story that happened in studio or on stage After a gig in Piacenza, my bro David and I slept in one of the best bedrooms in Nastyville history. It was filled with all the bugs and insects Mother Nature has ever created and we got so scared that we didn't close our eyes for the  whole night.

- Your favourite albums?
Easy! Every single album from Hardcore Superstar!

- A musician you would like to meet for a beer?
Another easy one! Jocke Berg from HCSS! Why just a beer though?

- What would you ask for backstage, if you were the most important band on earth?
I'm a simple man...A bucket of chicken wings and a sauna!

- What are your plans for the near future?
Definitely finish the upcoming album, start the tour with a bang and...Shoot for the stars! I really believe in what we do and the new music we are creating and I feel blessed to be able to share all that with my brothers in arms and a management that fully believes in us! Thank you so much for your time and we'll see you on the road! Love you all!
