DeVere - Surrender

DeVere have sold out a number of their headline shows in London and performed for thousands at the Download Festival, creating a quiet buzz among their newly discovered devoted fan base.

'Surrender' is a full-throttle metal song that captures the fiery, combative spirit of heavy metal. Self-produced and mixed by the band's platinum-selling, Brit-nominated bassist, it blazes with unrelenting riffs, haunting church bells, and a driving beat, packing a strong sensory assault into its two-and-a-half-minute length.

Lead vocalist Sammy Cassidy's raw delivery adds intensity, proclaiming it a manifesto of self-reliance and asking listeners to build their own path, noting, 'It's a song about submitting to the knowledge that nobody is coming to help you. Nobody is going to get you out of your lousy situation.

I love how straightforward 'Surrender' is. Absolutely catchy, with amazing riffs (what a sound) and energetic and technical vocals. It's like a freight train, and ends with a beautiful guitar solo. Pure Rock N Noll attitude and a very cool song, give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and remember to follow DeVere on social media.
