Interview - Alessandro De Fusco

Hi and welcome to this interview. Tell us about your latest release.
Hello everyone, thank you for dedicating this interview to me. My latest work, "House Of Memories" (which takes its name from the first song of the EP), is an album dedicated to my happy moments and the search for my new sound.

• How would you describe your sound?
I have always been a fan of the 80s, from cinema to music. So in some verses I tried to quote that era. Currently my sound oscillates between Rock and Pop Rock. Although I don't have a defined musical genre, I like to experiment and compose for guitar in every style.

• What do you write about?
Even though my music is instrumental, I try to set everything (also as a tribute) to nature, respecting all this forms.

• What do you listen to when you are home?
My listening varies across many genres, also because working in the studio or as a musician I always have to be up to date. But in particular I listen to progressive metal.

• Your favourite live performance so far?
One of my favourite performances was the opening concert at Whitesnake guitarist Reb Beach.

• Tell us a funny story that happened in studio or on stage.
One very funny story in particular was when I shot one of my music videos. It was blowing so much wind that was the peculiarity of the video, making my long hair fly like the transformation of a super saiyan, despite this, the video is online.

• Your favourite albums?
My favorite album is: Slip of the Toungue - Whitesnake 1989

• A musician you would like to meet for a beer?
Steve Vai.

• What are your plans for the near future?
My plans are to improve and discover new musical languages, and to travel and meet many new artists.

Giovanni Gagliano

Passionate about music I wrote my first article for "Given To Rock" in 2012, reaching now 30K global followers. I am also a musician, gigging around London.
