Interview - Nocticula

1. Tell us about your band.
Formed in 1994 under the name Nocticula from an idea of Boris Hunter, former drummer of Death SS, and Jacopo Orlando (Amok) bass and vocals, involving musicians Luciano Zella (Megerah Z) and Enrico Paoli (Angakok) on guitars in the project. They debuted with the demotape Nocticula containing four tracks, Creep shadows creep, Madness Network, No Nightmare, Hellhound. Unfortunately, 1994's Nocticula had no way to perform live, and the project thus came to its conclusion within a short time. In September 2019 the project restarted under the name Nocticula Resurget. The only original member remains Boris Hunter, the role of the vocal bassist is split with two new members, the guitarists are also replaced. The band decides to reprise the songs from the 1994 demo but replacing the lyrics. Thus was born the collaboration with two Florentine writers, Iole Troccoli and Alberto Pestelli, who wrote a series of poems, later collected in "Another Sun, Another Moon." The eight poems are the basis for elaborating the lyrics of the old and nascent songs that will give birth to the concept album.
