Stefski & Hutch - It’s Forever

Stefski & Hutch is a rock band created in 2016 by a Paris-born songwriter and a Warsaw-based guitarist, composer, and producer. They have a very "guitar-oriented" approach while keeping their sound current. On April 26th, they released their new album "Selling Lies," which thoroughly defines their musical style, ranging from Indie to Grunge, Classic Rock to Metal, Hard-Funk, Britpop, Prog, and, ultimately, themselves.

This is their new single, called "It's Forever". "Considering that the heterosexual family is not anymore the model in the Western world, or at least not the only one, it was interesting to adapt the idea of being with somebody « forever » but showing more of the downside to it, just the contrary of the usual love song. It is a little bit cynical" says Stefski, but as often with their songs, they seek for balance, for the truth that is somewhere in the centre, trying to keep some sane distance. Hutch ads "musically, sure, it's inspired by Alice In Chains or a Tool kind of riff, but then when the song took its form it just went full Stefski & Hutch, like with all the new album".

I love the chorus, super catchy and the grunge riffs, but what I like the most is its originality, mixing different sounds and genres. I would say it's something close to Queens of the Stone Age but with some pop, indie and grunge elements. This is a very cool song, very well written and performed.
