French all-female power trio GRANDMA'S ASHES return with their latest single, SUFFERER—a grunge-infused anthem inspired by the frustrations of everyday microaggressions. The song captures the feeling of being pushed around on the subway, enduring passive-aggressive remarks in silence, and constantly feeling like a victim, too kind to demand respect.
SUFFERER offers a glimpse into GRANDMA'S ASHES' upcoming album, BRUXISM, set for release in October 2025. Produced by Jesse Gander (Brutus, Japandroids), the album will feature ten tracks blending new wave and grunge, driven by the band’s electrifying live energy and their commitment to delivering a fierce, uncompromising message.
I love the '90s mood of the song, which features fantastic bass lines, a very cool guitar arrangement (check out the solo, very original and inspired), a super catchy chorus, and very cool drumming. SUFFERER is a quality song, amazingly written and performed by the band. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below, and remember to follow GRANDMA'S ASHES on social media.
