After the success of their breakthrough single ‘it’s changed’ last year, and the intensity of their recent track release ‘floss is boss’, British alt-rock outfit really big really clever now return with the new single back door. The band say it was “inspired by the real-life experience of someone who was spiked and left disoriented and vulnerable. The song explores themes of fear and resilience.”
I love the grunge mood (the guitars sound fantastic) and how dynamic the song is, amazing drumming parts, catchy vocals, and unexpected solos (with a different twist). It's a very cool one, amazingly written and performed by the band. This new single comes alongside the announcement of really big really clever’s second album, ‘…huh’, which follows 2023’s self-titled debut and is set for release via Sugar-Free Records on 22nd August.
