Mynd Reader is led by Brian Sachs (formerly of The Authority) and Matt Shultz, longtime friends and collaborators. Brian, a seasoned drummer from the '90s jam band scene, played iconic venues like Wetlands and toured relentlessly alongside Phish, Blues Traveler, and Dave Matthews. After the loss of legendary manager Bill Graham, The Authority disbanded—but Brian never stopped creating.

Enter Matt Shultz, the visionary behind Mynd Reader’s sound. With a gift for melody and genre-blending production, Matt brings Brian’s lyrics to life through immersive, emotionally rich arrangements. Their synergy fuels a fresh take on rock 'n' roll.

Their new single “Home” was Mixed by legendary Grammy-winning engineer Michael Brauer (Coldplay, My Morning Jacket, The Rolling Stones), “This one’s about the magnetic pull of that place you belong—whether it’s a person, a town, or a song. For us, it’s rock and roll. It’s home,” says lead singer Shelby Kemp. 

I love the sound and the band's performance, absolutely spot on (the solo section is pure quality). The song features a classy arrangement and great vocals, very intense and performed with taste.
