The Imaginaries - Fever (Official Video)

Americana duo The Imaginaries—comprised of husband-and-wife team Maggie McClure and Shane Henry—unveil their second full-length album Fever. The 12-track release was recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, with both first- and second-generation members of the iconic Swampers, and supported in part by the Shoals Music Makers Incentive Program, which champions artists preserving the region’s musical legacy. Fever blends gritty blues-rock, cinematic pop-Americana, and soul-baring ballads, with standout collaborations including Vince Gill on “Whole Lotta Livin’,” Joe Bonamassa on “Crossroads,” and Ariel Posen on “Wishing Well.”

The album’s title track arrives alongside a new music video that channels the record’s pulse of adrenaline and romance. Featuring one of Shane’s restored muscle cars, the video captures the duo in motion—mirroring the song’s Bonnie-and-Clyde-inspired tale of love, freedom, and fire.

Originally from Oklahoma, Maggie and Shane met when she opened for him at a hometown show. After falling in love and relocating to Los Angeles, they eventually returned to their roots and made Muscle Shoals their creative home. Along the way, they’ve racked up over 75 sync placements, starred in and scored feature films (A Cowgirl’s Song), performed alongside legends like Judy Collins and John Waite, and launched ventures beyond the stage—Maggie as a music supervisor and Shane as co-founder of boutique pedal company Westerlund Audio.

To mark the release of Fever, The Imaginaries celebrate with a hometown show at Oklahoma City’s Beam Live on September 5th, part of their ongoing Wheels to the Pavement Tour. The tour includes a return to Muscle Shoals on September 13, appearances at Americanafest in Nashville (September 9–10), and over 25 additional dates across the U.S. before heading to Europe in 2026. Full details and tickets are available at .

Both the video and the song are of high quality. I love the sound, the arrangement, and the super catchy chorus that will get stuck in your head. It's radio-friendly, but with some punch, and the duo's performance is spot on. Give Fever a go by clicking on the video above and follow The Imaginaries on Spotify and social media as well.
