Quick review: Biffy Clyro - Futique (2025)

Release date:
19 September 2025

Line Up:
Simon Neil: lead vocals, guitar, piano (1995–present)
James Johnston: bass guitar, synthesizer, backing vocals (1995–present)
Ben Johnston: drums, backing vocals (1995–present)

What I enjoy the most: I really like some songs (the first two singles are great, for instance) and overall I find the album various enough and overall inspired, with different solutions in terms of production and arrangements.

What I didn’t like as much: as every Biffy Clyro, I don't enjoy the whole album, more single songs. I find some moments a little too "modern" or let's say not enough Rock for my taste. I would have loved Goodbye and Woe is me, Wow is you with another arrangement/production.

Rating 65/100
