Albany

“When a truly great band rolls around, people take notice anyway. Do I get that vibe with Albany? I sure as hell do.”- String Buzz, String Buzz (Oct 25, 2016)

Hailing from Lincoln, England, Albany makes passionate guitar-driven indie rock that has just the right amount of nostalgia but with a modern twist.

Formed in 2014 and returning with a new lineup, Albany are frontman and guitarist Matt Duke, guitarist Billy Richards, bassist Chris Fletcher, and drummer Daniel Sharratt.

Over the past few years, Albany have released 3 stand-alone EP’s and 4 singles, which between them have featured as ‘Track of the Week’ on BBC Introducing in Lincolnshire multiple times and used on ITV daytime television.

With a veteran rank in their live act, Albany have played alongside acts such as Marsicans, The Velvet Hands and Scouting for Girls to name a few, having their name stand out on multiple festival lineups such as 2Q Festival and Camden Rocks!

Set for their comeback this year, they will release new music in Summer 2021, straight off the back of anthemic single 'Hail My Call' and from there, will continue to try and prove that the true underdog can still defy today's odds.
