SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS: Making Of '4' Episode 1- 2 (Video)

Below is the first of a series of webisodes showcasing behind-the-scenes footage from the development of SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS' next album, named "4".

"4" is Slash's fifth solo album and fourth overall with his band, which includes Myles Kennedy (vocals), Brent Fitz (drums), Todd Kerns (bass, vocals), and Frank Sidoris (guitar) (guitar, vocals).

The official music video for the LP's first song, "The River Is Rising," was released in October by SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS, and was shot on location in downtown Los Angeles with Gibson TV director Todd Harapiak. Slash and the band drove across the nation to Nashville, Tennessee, to record "4" with producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, John Prine, Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile), unveiling a striking new sound and style caught live in the studio. Cobb expressed the band's desire to record the songs live in the studio, complete with guitar solos and vocals – a first for the band.

The band's previous albums, "Apocalyptic Love," "World On Fire," and "Living The Dream," have all charted in the Top 5 in the United States and reached the Top 10 on 12 major charts around the world. To date, the three SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS albums have spawned 10 consecutive Top 5 Radio singles, sold-out world tours, and earned Slash and the band the highest critical acclaim of their career, with their most recent album "Living The Dream" (2018) being hailed as their best songs to date by the Los Angeles Times, Classic Rock, Guitar World, Loudwire, LA Weekly, and others.

The new album "4" also has the distinction of being the first album to be issued under the new Gibson Records label, which is based in Music City, Nashville, the home of the legendary American instrument brand Gibson. Given Gibson's 30-year relationship with Grammy Award-winning Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Slash, it's only natural that the new SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS album "4" will be released through Gibson Records.
