Heavy rotation - April 2022

Here for the usual page where I tell what I listened to during the past month. Well, I've been travelling around (I'm currently in Goa, a beautiful place in India) so honestly I listened to less music than usual. But I can't live without music, so here are anyway the albums I still have on my Spotify list.

Talking about guitar players I listened to the new albums by two top players like Joe Satriani (The elephants of Mars, click for the review) and Andy Timmons, Electric truth. It was nice that Andy liked my review and thanked me on Twitter, very kind of him. Unexpectedly, I'm still listening to the new Ghost, Impera. Not a fan of the band but this is probably my favourite album of the year, so far, together with the new Scorpions, Rock Believer.

I've also listened to some old albums like Angel Dream by Tom Petty and the heartbreakers, Us and them by Shinedown, (someone recommended it to me, very good album!), the new Dream Widow (the "secret" metal album by Foo Fighters), the great live in NYC 1993 by Dream theater (from Lost not forgotten archives) and still the new (maybe not anymore) Brian Adams, So happy it hurts.

What about you? Let me know what was in your Heavy Rotation!

Giovanni Gagliano

Passionate about music I wrote my first article for "Given To Rock" in 2012, reaching now 30K global followers. I am also a musician, gigging around London.
