Toreador - Heave

The Southampton trio TOREADOR have drawn early comparisons to Led Zeppelin, The Raconteurs, and Queens of the Stone Age for their distinctive fusion of fuzz-soaked guitars and sweeping vocals.

Appearing on stage with Demob Happy, Tigercub, The Amazons, and Yonaka over the past year, the band has built a cult following in their hometown of Southampton, allowing them to develop comfortably into their increasingly thunderous live presentation.

This is their new single, called Heave, starting with powerful drums and a frantic riff. The vocals are energetic but melodic at the same time and the bass invents something nice underneath them. The chorus is very catchy and memorable (it will probably get stuck in your head for a bit) and the song, in general, is very enjoyable from start to finish.
