Radio Wore - Lost The Summer

The Texas band Radio Wore continuously seeks to push the limits of conventional classic rock by playing with a variety of distinctive musical palettes. They accomplish this by fusing the sounds of Rival Sons, Tame Impala, Glass Animals, and the "Denton Sound" with those of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Nirvana. Dave Grohl, Frank Hannon (of Tesla), Jared James Nichols, and iHeartRadio's hard rock station 97.1 have all given Radio Wore recognition. The Eagle (Dallas), which was discussed in VoyageDallas Magazine and featured on the Audio Carnage Podcast, was also streamed live on YouTube by SpectreSoundStudios. The Los Gatos EP (2019) and "Slaves and Sinners" (2020) releases helped the band gain a lot of attention in the DFW music scene.

This is their new single, called Lost The Summer. What I like the most about the song is the originality. The song could be featured in a musical but it's got 70's contaminations and it's also very radio friendly, thanks also to superb vocal lines. The performance of the band is spotless (check the guitar solos!) and the production deals perfectly with different atmosphere. The song is contagious, and it may get stuck in your head for a while, I totally recommend it.
