The Kid and I - Free Falling

The Kid and I is an alternative music band from London that was founded in 2020 and combines pop rock with lyrics about introspection. The Kid and I examines difficult topics while using appealing melodies and uplifting rhythms, drawing influences from a variety of artists, including Elliot Smith and the Foo Fighters. The Kid and I are a new force to be reckoned with after recently making it to the finals of the Roundhouse Unsigned competition, performing as The Animals' opening act, receiving broadcast on radio stations like Amazing Radio and Islington Radio, and breaking into the London music scene.

This is their new single, called Free Falling: frantic drumming/bass and clean and melodic vocals, but intense, at the same time. I love the chorus on this one with the guitar kicking in, giving more power and dynamic to the song. The chorus will probably get stuck in your head (I'm still singing it!), and the performance of the band is spot on. (phenomenal drumming, in particular).
